Australian Workplace Agreements
A workplace agreement is the only legally binding way to negotiate on award conditions. A workplace agreement only becomes binding once lodged with the Office of Employment Advocate.
There are a number of different types of workplace agreements, with the most common being:
- Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA) - individual agreement between an organisation and an employee
- Employee Collective Agreement (ECA) - An agreement between an organisation and the workforce or a division of the organisation.
