MBA Insurance Service is a new concept in dealing with the insurance needs of the building industry. The MBA Insurance Service Team is staffed by local people, who are able to provide expert advice on both your Home Warranty Insurance requirements and your General Insurance needs.
MBA Insurance Services is a joint venture of the Master Builders Association of Western Australia, ACT, Newcastle, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria. The MBA Insurance Services is partnered by TCA in the Northern Territory.
We have access to all Home Indemnity providers and with desktop access to the insurers, certificates can be issued while you wait. We are committed to assisting you through the Home Indemnity process and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your requirements. We can be contacted on 08 89229666. MBA Insurance Services is dedicated to offering MBA Members a wide range of insurance products including:
- Home Indemnity: Provides cover to the consumer against structural defects for a period of six years in the event of a builder being unable to complete or rectify their work by reason of death, disappearance or insolvency.
- Contract Works including Third Party Liability: Protects against loss or damage to the works components such as fire, theft, malicious damage and storm. Third Party liability covers against liabilities for third party personal injury or property damage. All our contract works liability policies automatically cover your worker-to-worker exposure.
- Trade Persons Insurance: Tailor made to meet the needs of the trade person. This is a cost effective policy, which will meet your liability and also tools of trade exposures.
- Workers Compensation: Provides protection to your employees. Under the Work Health Act of the Northern Territory, employers MUST hold a workers’ compensation insurance policy if they employ a person who provides work or service for them and does not provide the employer with an ABN in writing. Seek further advice on contractors/sub contractors.
- Business or Office Insurance: These insurances provide security against loss or damage to your assets. Under this policy you can insure your buildings, contents, business premises and stock or an investment property.
- Motor Vehicle Insurance: Choose between private motor, commercial motor or motor fleet insurance. All policies insure you against loss or damage to your vehicles, including goods carrying vehicles.
Construction Plant, Machinery and Tools of Trade: Insure against loss or damage to your plant, machinery or tools of trade. - Professional Indemnity: This type of policy provides insurance for you in the event that you are found to be professionally negligent due to an error or omission while conducting your business as a professional. Your activities may include building consulting work, pest control, pre-purchase inspections, construction management and project management or design work.
- Audit Insurance: Worried about accountant's fees? This policy has been designed to cover expenses for external professional fees incurred by you in responding to an audit, review or investigation undertaken by a government on a statutory return legally required to be lodged.
- Premium Funding: There is now an easier way to pay your insurance premiums - by the month. This will help you to better manage your cash flow.
